Before the event
- We need people who can check out venues in-person for planned events and report back on how the event can be organized at the venue
- Building a diverse and inclusive community takes a diverse and inclusive community, and you can help by simply telling your network about the events we have planned
- A lot of conversations happen behind the scenes to set the agenda for the MOSAIC events, and you can lend your voice and help us set the agenda. This includes helping us decide on Unconference Themes, workshops, side quests, quiz, and more
- The venue needs to be prepped, e.g., posters need to be put up, and we could use a few additional hands the day before the event with venue prep
- Depending on participation interest, we might open up the event RSVP to the broader public, and we could use some help posting on social media account to attract a wider and general audience
- Posters, stickers, and more, are designed ahead of the event to promote it, and we could use some help here
During the event
- The Unconference format is unusual, to say the least, to most participants, and frequent intervention helps move the discussions along, and we need more helping hands
- Conversations during the Unconference don’t have to lead anywhere, but it’s interesting nevertheless to document the conversation. People who weren’t able to participate in a particular topic might be interested in reading about the conversations. Documenting the conversations could also enable us to move the conversations online, after the event is wrapped up, for the few enthusiastic participants. We need volunteers who can document conversations. Hint: This is a tedious task, how about using AI?
- Food and refreshments are usually served at MOSAIC events, and we could use a helping hand who can coordinate this with the appropriate vendor. You could dictate the menu for the day if you choose this task!
- Volunteers handle photography/videography for the event, and you could help if you have magic eyes
