Mosaic is an experimental community initiative based on the belief that society benefits when science is open, spirited, and inclusive of all; be it seasoned researchers, scientists, and educators, or tinkerers, students, or the simply curious.
Who we are
The experiment is being put together by Mathura, Rahul, and Kailash. We're science enthusiasts and tinkerers involved in science, technology, and education. The initiative is run by a community of volunteers: Aditi, Deepa, Dipti, Himadri, Kaustubh, Sneha, Vishnu, Roshni
If you have any queries or would like to participate, partner, or volunteer, please write to us at info@mosaichq.org. If you want to know how you can help, please read mosaichq.org/volunteer.
Our values
Openness
We believe in the Open Knowledge movement and we support related movements, such as Open Science, Open Access publishing, Free and Open Source Software, Open-source Hardware, and Open Data.
Operate in a positive-sum world, not a zero-sum world
We work with existing individuals, communities, and organizations in a positive-sum manner, i.e., a “win-win” situation, by bringing complementary skills and resources to benefit the public at large.
Experiment
MOSAIC is not concerned with arriving at a proven formula for events and repeating it endlessly. We experiment with the event formats, topics, speakers, and more, to expand the people’s imagination of science appreciation, science education, science communication, and more!
